Director of Family and Youth Programming (Full-time)

Join Comunidad, a growing community development nonprofit working alongside families in the Seven Corners and Kingsley communities in Falls Church. We are seeking a mission-driven and experienced Family and Youth Program Director to lead and expand our education and enrichment initiatives for children, teens, and their families.

The Family and Youth Program Director will oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of year-round youth and family programs, including afterschool enrichment, summer camps, parent engagement, and youth leadership development. This role requires strong program management skills, a commitment to community-centered practices, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with families, volunteers, and partners.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in youth development, education, or family services, including program design and staff supervision. Fluency in Spanish is required.

Director of Fundraising and Communications (Full-time)

Every day, our team works alongside our families, partners, and supporters to create meaningful change. We are seeking a passionate and strategic Director of Fundraising and Communications to lead our efforts in building resources, strengthening community connections, and telling the story of our work. This senior role reports directly to the Executive Director and is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating all fundraising and communications activities.

The Director of Fundraising and Communications will cultivate relationships with donors and partners, design and manage fundraising initiatives, and seek out new opportunities for support through grants, sponsorships, and events. You’ll also oversee all of our external communications—from the words on our website to the stories in our enews—ensuring that everything we share reflects the impact we’re making together. Working closely with our program teams, the Director will gather stories, data, and visuals that bring our work to life and inspire people to get involved.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience, proven success in fundraising, strong communication skills, and a passion for community-driven change.

Director of Operations (Part-time)

Comunidad is a community development organization committed to harnessing the power of individuals for the betterment of all. We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Director of Operations to ensure that our internal systems—finance, human resources, compliance, and administration—are operating at the highest level. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this individual will translate strategic priorities into operational excellence, enabling our program teams to focus on delivering high-quality services to our communities. The Director of Operations will oversee day-to-day operations, manage budgets, and build infrastructure to support sustainable growth. This is a key leadership role for a seasoned professional who is passionate about community-driven work and ready to help guide a dynamic nonprofit through its next chapter.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership or operations role is required. Fluency in Spanish is essential.

Executive Assistant (Part-time)

Join Comunidad, a community-rooted nonprofit working with families and youth in the Seven Corners and Kingsley neighborhoods of Falls Church. We are hiring a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to provide critical administrative support to our Executive Director and leadership team. This role includes managing calendars, coordinating meetings, supporting office operations, tracking expenses, updating the CRM, assisting with volunteer management, and handling day-to-day communications. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrative or executive support role is highly desirable.
