How it started!
Comunidad’s latest campaign began over a warm cup of tea with co-owner Jen at Café Kindred—one of the places where our community slows down and connects. It’s a spot where I’ve spent countless hours meeting new and old friends; it reflects the kind of community-centered, spirit that drives the work of Comunidad.
So as the season of giving approached, partnering felt less like an idea and more like a natural next step. Jen was so generous to partner with us and invite others. Together, we launched Plates with Purpose—a simple, uplifting way for local restaurants and coffee shops to give back by dedicating a portion of sales to support Comunidad’s programs. It’s a win-win: a boost for small businesses and a direct investment in the families we walk alongside every day.
At its core, Plates with Purpose is exactly what it sounds like—community, on purpose.
