Emerging Leaders Scholarship Fund
The Emerging Leaders Scholarship Fund invests in young people who are committed to pursuing their education, developing their leadership, and making a positive difference in their communities. The scholarship supports graduating high school seniors and recent graduates pursuing education at an accredited college, university, vocational school, or technical training program in the DMV area.
Who May Apply
Applicants should:
Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0
Be a graduating high school senior or recent high school graduate
Plan to attend an accredited college, university, vocational school, or technical training program
Demonstrate financial need
Show a commitment to leadership, service, and community involvement
Meet the academic expectations appropriate to their chosen educational pathway
Students who have participated in Comunidad’s programs are encouraged to apply. Applicants who have not participated in Comunidad will also be considered if they demonstrate meaningful leadership and service in their school or local community.
How Scholarship Funds May Be Used
Scholarship awards may help cover:
Tuition and required fees
Books and course materials
Supplies and equipment required for a student’s program
Award amounts may vary based on available funding, demonstrated need, and the applicant’s educational plans. Scholarship funds are generally paid directly to the educational institution.
Applications open October 8th, 2026 and must be submitted by November 7, 2026 at midnight.
